So I decided to apply to BlogRush, just another service to boost the traffic to my blog; this was the response I got.

Sure I'm not going to take it personally. Hey SEO blogs that rehash the same info, other sites posted can get approved. Spam blogs, that have only one post; they can get approved.
Me and my over 2 yrs worth of posts, not so much!
You can keep your shitty service, I'm sorry I have no intention on reapplying. I'll stick with Entrecard, Blogcatalog and FuelMyBlog, just to name a few better sites. At least I get quality traffic and the people who visit, actually leave comments or click various links.

Hi there. Sorry to hear abt ur rejection from BR. I was rejected by another program, for very "weird" reasons as well. I guess we are at their mercy, but I hope u don't feel too bad, cause you do have a great blog with quality posts too! Cheer up! :):):)

Yeah it sucks.
Like the many mystics of Blogosphere. Why our PR went down.. why Alexa works this way.. why the low traffic on certain days.
Sighs.. we poor bloggers are constantly at mercy of these sites that claim to boost our traffic. But at the same time, don't they beg us to link to them to boost their popularity too?
Strange world it is.

Wow they suck. Well you have a great blog here and sounds like your priorities are straight.
I've gotten a fair amount of traffic from things like using twitter, but the most hits I get come from other blogs. After all that's how I found you. Hope I've sent some your way.

@SheR. - It does suck that were at the mercy of these sites. Maybe someday some one will come up with a more honest system.
@ Nat - I thought it was funny too, that's why I decided to post their response.
@ Scott - If I had a more interesting life or more friends, I'd probably be on Twitter too.

Is Blog Rush the one that reposts member's content on news media sites that they own? I have seen some blogs duplicating content on sites like channel5baltimore.com etc ... or is that blogburst? i cant keep them all straight anymore...

Don't worry about it, your blog is great. Plus ... I've been with Blogrush since shortly after they started and I barely get any traffic from them. I've already removed their widgets from a few of my sites and the rest will come down soon.
Robert - that's blogburst that you are thinking of - They help syndicate bloggers posts on sites like Discovery, CNN, big news sites and online newspaper sites. A few of my blogs do quite well in Blogburst.

@ Robert - As Tricia mentioned in her comment after yours. It's Blogburst that your thinking of, it's not bad.
I've gotten a bit of traffic from them, mostly for movie related posts though.
@ Tricia - I don't feel so bad now; guess they're all hype!

I've never even heard of blog rush, so obviously I wouldn't be upset if they didn't let me join. And why do you have to be interesting to be on twitter? I'm on twitter and I don't think I even use it most of the time unless I get the email notification that someone has posted something and even then I usually just delete it.
